Official Iron County Jail Roster
The official online source for current Iron County inmate records is the Current Inmate Roster published by the Iron County Sheriff's Office. It is free, does not require a login, and says the table refreshes automatically every 10 minutes. The roster covers current inmates booked into Iron County Jail. It does not function as a full inmate-profile system, and the public view does not show mugshots, date of birth, physical description, housing unit, court date, release date, or a profile click-through.
The roster page says the data is informational and directs official-record questions to Iron County Jail. That caveat is important because the table can list local charges, State Contract Prisoner rows, Federal Contract Prisoner rows, and IMMIGRATION DETAINER entries. A row may be a custody reason, a hold, or an arrest charge. It is not the same thing as a conviction, and it may not match the charges later filed by the Iron County Attorney or recorded in Utah Courts.
The captured roster image shows the sheriff's public table format. The source is the Iron County inmate-bookings page, which displays names, booking dates, offense lines, bond amounts, and bond types.
Because the public table is lean, official copies, older records, and fields not shown online should be requested through the jail or the sheriff's GRAMA form.
Search Iron County Inmate Records
The fastest search starts with a name, but the Iron County roster search is broader than a last-name box. The placeholder says "Search by name or offense..." and the research capture found that it filters combined first and last name as well as offense descriptions. That means a search for a known offense term can narrow the list when spelling is uncertain. The Name and Booking Date columns can also be sorted, and Previous or Next appears when the results exceed the visible page limit.

Iron County Recent Bookings
The recent-bookings feed is separate from the current jail roster. It covers Iron County jail bookings for the past three days, shows the most recent arrests first, and refreshes every 10 minutes. It can help when a person was booked and released before a current-roster search, or when the user needs the arresting agency field. On July 1, 2026, the recent-bookings API returned 9 recent entries. That was a dated observation, not a guaranteed daily count.
Recent bookings display fields that the current roster does not, including Agency, Arr. Type, Book Date, Offenses, and In Custody. The In Custody field is especially useful. A No value means the person was in the three-day booking feed but was not marked as still in custody in that feed. Iron County Roster Fields
An Iron County inmate record should be read field by field. The public row can show a booking date, offense descriptions, statutes, counts, bond amounts, and bond types, but it does not show a complete criminal case. Roster charges may come from arresting-agency data and can differ from the prosecutor's later complaint or information. Bond data is also per offense. A person may have one bond line and another no-bond hold, so call the jail or court before relying on the display.

Record reading tip: "State Contract Prisoner," "Federal Contract Prisoner," and "IMMIGRATION DETAINER" are custody or hold labels, not proof of a new local conviction.
Request Iron County Jail Records
When the online roster is not enough, the official fallback is the Iron County Sheriff's Office GRAMA request form. The form is the route for official booking records, protected or private records when the requester is eligible, and post-conviction or post-sentencing booking photo requests. It asks for requester contact details, record categories, request description, fee choices, and acknowledgments. It also asks directly whether the request is for an inmate booking photo.
The sheriff form says private or protected records will only be released to the subject of the record, a victim, a suspect, or another person as defined under Utah GRAMA. Controlled records are not subject to release. Identification may be required before protected or private records are released under Utah Code 63G-2-202. The office states that it has up to 10 business days from submission to release the record if releasable, and fees may include staff time for search, retrieval, and direct administrative costs.

Iron County Inmate Locator Chain
A missing Iron County jail record does not end the search. If the person was sentenced to Utah prison, the search moves to the Utah Department of Corrections Offender Search. UDC says its search is for people incarcerated by or under probation or parole supervision with UDC, and it specifically excludes people awaiting trial or not yet sentenced in county jail facilities. Utah VINE can provide custody and case notifications where available.
Federal and immigration custody require different systems. The BOP Inmate Locator searches federal inmates incarcerated from 1982 to present and may warn that release dates can change. The ICE Online Detainee Locator System is the official immigration detention locator. Iron County roster labels such as Federal Contract Prisoner or IMMIGRATION DETAINER do not turn the county jail into a federal or ICE facility. They signal that another custody path may also need to be checked.

Iron County Jail Visits
Once an Iron County inmate record is found, use the official visits and accounts page before scheduling a visit or sending money. On-site visits are video visits through monitors and are free. They must be scheduled at least 24 hours ahead through the on-site kiosk or the IC Solutions visitor portal. Each prisoner gets one visit per week, the visit lasts 25 minutes, and up to four visitors may attend. Visitors 16 or older need a valid government ID, school IDs are not accepted, and visitors must not have been incarcerated within the last 90 days.
